Oscar fashion patrol

Collegian Staff Writer

Though the botox is starting to de-intensify and the liposuction bruises are beginning to subside, it has only been four days since the most anticipated red carpet of the year rolled out with lots of silicone, double-sided tape, thongs, people from Brooklyn and more egos out-of-check than the VMAs. And we did what we do: We watched, we cried and we criticized. Who won or lost is merely trivial, what matters is who wore who, who looked good and best of all, who looked dreadful.

Blue, black, yellow and gold were the big colors of the evening and, unfortunately, yet another year went by without any animal dresses.

Best Dressed

  • Salma Hayek was gracefully stunning all night
  • Kate Winslet wore baby blue
  • Jamie Foxx looked great

Worst Dressed

  • Renee Zellweger blended in with the red carpet
  • Best actor nominee Johnny Depp was looking a bit akward in his blue tuxedo
  • Laura Linney couldn’t act her way out of this
