A Penn State student accused of forgery for allegedly manufacturing and selling false driver's licenses will have his pre-trial conference May 19.

HARRISBURG -- Penn State President Graham Spanier appeared yesterday before the State House Appropriations Committee to ask for an additional $17.6 million in state appropriations to help keep next year's tuition increases as low as possible.

HARRISBURG -- Several state representatives questioned Penn State's efforts to combat acts of racism and to enroll minority students at yesterday's State House Appropriations Committee meeting.

Kelly Hanna is on her way to earning a degree in physics, but she says her classes are usually filled with men.

Sophomore Penn State women's lacrosse player Lindsay Dutch has been named the American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week, league officials announced. It is the first career honor for Dutch and the first for Penn State this season.

Penn State athletics announced most of the dates on its football schedules for 2007 and 2008 yesterday, with some of the nation's top programs coming to Beaver Stadium.

Junior women's gymnast Lisa Clark has been named the Big Ten Co-Gymnast of the Week, conference officials announced. Clark shares the weekly award with Cara Pomeroy of Illinois.

Last Monday, as senior co-captain Adam Smith walked into the wrestling room located in the catacombs of Rec Hall, he heard the words "Adam Smith, national champion."

Sporting a collared shirt and a new haircut, Eric Bradley joined Penn State wrestling coach Troy Sunderland at the podium for a press conference for this weekend's Big Ten tournament in Iowa City, Iowa.

The No. 23 Penn State women's basketball team got a small pick-me-up this morning when the All-Big Ten Team was announced.

After the Big Ten Conference Championships, it appears as if Penn State's women's indoor track and field team will have something to look forward to for a long time to come, as five Penn State athletes, including three freshmen, earned spots on the All-Big Ten first and second teams.

The land of the rising sun set on the men's gymnastics team last night, as the Japanese college all-stars defeated Penn State by a tight score of 224.5-224.3. The meet was lost by two-tenths of a point and came down to the last rotation.

What can a Penn State athlete take away from four years of unsuccessful results at the collegiate level?

For the few remaining fans of the Penn State men's basketball team in Happy Valley, have no fear: you will soon be put out of your misery.
