A severe weather forecast prompted the Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) to postpone the public hearing originally scheduled for 4 p.m. yesterday.
The meeting has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. tomorrow in the State College Municipal Building, 243 S. Allen St.
CATA Service Development Manager Eric Bernier said the decision to postpone the hearing was made after community members contacted CATA requesting the hearing be postponed.
The purpose of the hearing is to gather community input regarding proposed service cuts, which include eliminating weekday evening and Saturday service for the H, W and P routes; starting the morning N, R and V routes later; and reducing the frequency of Friday and Saturday evening service for the N, R and V routes, according to CATA's Web site (www.catabus.com).
