In response to the recent university dialogue, College Democrats and College Republicans feel compelled to jointly address campus concerns. While we respect the right to free speech, we strongly disagree with any uncivil act which judges a human being on anything other than the content of his or her character. Regardless of race, gender, creed, political ideology or sexual orientation, we are at this university together. We have a responsibility to interact intelligently and respectfully with all members of the Penn State community. As such, we call upon ourselves and the rest of Penn State to meet the challenges posed by our differences.
