A female Penn State student reported being sexually assaulted in a room in Nittany Apartments, Penn State University Police said. The student reported the assault Saturday morning, police said. The incident is currently under investigation.
The State College Police Department is investigating an incident of possible ethnic intimidation in which an Asian woman was called a derogatory name. Police said the woman, who is a Penn State student, confronted a man after he allegedly urinated on the door to her apartment at Park Place, 224 S. Burrowes St., sometime early Friday morning. The incident was reported at about 1:40 p.m. Friday, police said. The district attorney will decide charges. Police have identified a suspect and are investigating the incident.
Three people were transported to the hospital after an accident at about 7 a.m. Friday on the 2900 block of East College Avenue, according to a State College Police Department press release.
The accident occurred when a 1994 Ford Explorer, driven by Harry Eby, 78, of Bellefonte, was struck by a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Larry McCloskey Jr., 35, of Milesburg, who was traveling against traffic in the westbound lane, according to the press release.
McCloskey was life-flighted to Altoona Hospital and was in critical condition yesterday. He sustained head and facial injuries, according to the press release. Eby was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of lacerations and bruises.
Aaron Myers, 20, of Pleasant Gap, was a passenger in McCloskey's vehicle and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of lacerations and bruises, according to the press release.
