Letter to the Editor
Hate speech includes disliking conservatives

I would like to applaud Chris Kovalchick and Brian Miller for standing up for their beliefs.

I was also offended and disgusted by the now infamous gay photo. I was most appalled by the fact that it was put right out on the front page.

Many of the writers who denounced the letter, by Kovalchick, mentioned that people hate what they do not understand. Well, many people hate me because they do not understand me or my viewpoints.

The times have been shifting faster than the wind. I am glad that people, like Kovalchick and Miller, have stood by their principles through these changing times. I know many people who talk of tolerance. Those people should be tolerant of straight people who find looking at homosexuality very uncomfortable.

Graham Spanier has also denounced the letter by Kovalchick in a statement that was nothing more than rhetoric.

He could not possibly comprehend the core of the issue because he does not recognize that many students are opposed to homosexuality. Homosexuality is not a lopsided debate; the country is split nearly even over the issue.

Some states have already voted to allow gay marriage while several others have voted to ban it.

If you are Kovalchick, Miller or anyone else who opposes homosexuality, you are far from being alone. This paper should be renamed to "The Daily Liberal," for all the photos, articles, letters to the editor and even the comics that are run in this paper are very liberal. This paper does not fairly represent the conservative voice on campus.
