Readers write about 'hateful' comments on gay photograph
Wow. Brian Miller managed to raise the painfully high bar for intolerance set by Chris Kovalchick ("Showing gays kissing illustrates sinful ways," Feb. 23). He states "queers" should not be allowed to make the front page or any page in the Collegian or any public article. I wonder how he would feel if someone responded to his scripture citation by stating "'Bible-thumphing Jesus-freaks should not be allowed to make the front page or any page in the Collegian or any public article." I am sure he'd claim the same freedoms he's denying others. He cites Leviticus 18:22 to establish homosexuality as an abomination, yet conveniently fails to mention the other "abominations" in Leviticus, which would prevent him from eating shellfish and cheeseburgers or wearing blended fabric clothes. Mr. Miller, I suggest you start citing more current and applicable law, rather than the dusty old Biblical law that has been left behind by enlightened modern society. Enjoy your cheeseburger.
