Letters respond to alleged racially motivated threats
In response to the recent hateful acts on campus, the university has gotten a lot of the blame for not promoting diversity enough. It is my opinion that Penn State is being scapegoated for these individuals' actions. It is important to remember that people's opinions on race and sexual preference are largely a product of the way they were brought up. The goal of the university is to promote tolerance and acceptance so that we teach our children these values, and so on down the line. This is not an overnight process and should not be viewed as such. I feel that Penn State is doing a fine job, keeping in mind that you can usually find an idiot in a group of 10 people, much less a group of 30,000. Chase Dillard
