The Distinguished Speakers Series thanks The Daily Collegian for drawing attention to a problem that has affected the series for the past couple of years ("Speakers series should get more student input because we pay for it," Feb. 23).

Sadly, the brainstorming sessions we scheduled did have to be cancelled as a result of low attendance. We look forward, however, to serving the students of Penn State to the best of our ability and therefore we are accepting applications to join our committee and speaker suggestions via e-mail for next year's series, as we advertised in the Collegian on Feb. 22. Please heed the suggestion of the Board of Opinion and let us know who you want invited.
