No better time to be showing PSU pride
As a recent PSU graduate, I'd have to say that I am extremely proud of the hard work and determination of this year's Thon committees. I did not get the chance to attend Thon this year, sadly, because I'm 1,600 miles away. However, when I heard about the record totals raised and all the fun that was had this past weekend, I knew I'd missed something special. I was a part of Thon at the branch campus I attended for two years -- and, like Lauren Warner suggested, I'll never consider going there a poor decision. After all, in the face of such extreme generosity and good will, is there anyone among us -- University Park or not -- who can honestly say they are not proud of what PSU does year after year? Congratulations, to all of you, for working toward a cure that we will someday discover. What better way to ring in our university's 150th birthday? And to the rest of Penn State, don't let the actions of one narrow-minded student bring you down or dampen your spirits, because right now, as I see it, there's no better time to be Penn State proud.
