A 23-year-old Penn State student reported being assaulted on the 200 block of North Burrowes Street yesterday morning, State College Police said.

The victim reported that he did not remember receiving a cut on his face from the assault, police said.

He was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center for a gash on his head and received stitches, police said. Police said the incident is under investigation and charges may be pending.
