We in the Undergraduate Student Government are appalled at the disgusting display of bigotry presented by Chris Kovalchick in his letter to the editor found in Thursday's issue of The Daily Collegian.

We would first point out that this individual, despite what his signature claims, does not serve in any capacity within the USG, and in no way represents the opinions or values of our organization. The Undergraduate Student Government condemns the actions and opinion of Chris Kovalchick, and finds them to be contrary to the values and principles of the Penn State student community. The USG wishes to affirm its full and utter support of the LGBTQA community, and applauds the work of Allies and other LGBTQA groups in their efforts to provide events, programming and a safe space within our community.
