Thank you Daily Collegian for providing such a wonderful front-page picture on Feb. 15! There's nothing I look forward to more than seeing a bunch of loving people kissing in public. It definitely made my day. Thanks for having the courage to publish a snapshot of the side of America that is often hidden from the public eye.

There are plenty of individuals and groups at Penn State who are good, honest people, striving every day to make a positive difference, especially this week with Thon coming up. These people are among them -- one is a morale captain and the others helped to collect money. These are the people who ARE Penn State, pictured on the cover of the Collegian with the people they love. Quite appropriate for Valentine's Day. For other readers who may have been quick to pass judgment about these people before getting to know them: That is the very definition of prejudice. They are nothing short of the most kind and caring people I have ever known.
