I feel extremely sorry for Mr. Kovalchick and his views. I feel so sorry because of the fact that his views are so traditional that not even mainstream, heterosexist America would agree with his view that two women kissing is disturbing or offensive. Quite the contrary, in fact. I also really pity him because he will not be able to run and hide from such things during his lifetime seeing as how the women's movement and LGBTA rights movement began quite some time ago and are still in full effect. I worry that Mr. Kovalchick has found a world in his imagination that is false and unrealistic-the LGBTA community is indeed real and does matter to many people.
In fact, if you looked hard enough you might find that you love a member of the community yourself without knowing it. I don't know which stereotype you are perpetuating but there is nothing about two members of the same sex being affectionate that would eradicate them from being members of this group of people at Penn State whom you consider to be "good, honest people, striving every day to make a difference." In fact, Christy Merchant strives each and every day to make a difference - for all people who are honest with themselves and those around them in identifying themselves in some way with the LGBTA community who are shunned by bigoted people like yourself. Take a look around, Mr. Kovalchick. You can deny people of marriage, but you cannot deny their existence and such people will not go away!
