I don't know how anyone could pass up the opportunity to respond to Chris Kovalchick's letter to the editor. For someone who can so clearly distinguish people who matter from those who don't, his justification for these categories is a little unclear. Chris, how would you categorize gay people who are participating in Thon? Believe it or not, gay people do take time away from their busy kissing schedules to do other things, possibly even things that might make a positive difference.
Furthermore, it's the Collegian's responsibility to report on the actions of all of Penn State's students. To do otherwise would give a false representation of the student body; this is why even your ignorant letter was published. Lastly, for nothing more than a photo of people who don't "actually matter," you managed to write a pretty riled-up letter.
