To borrow from the blatantly hateful letter ("Gay public affection offensive to readers," Feb. 17) that was published in yesterday's Collegian: "Thank you Daily Collegian for providing such a wonderful front-page picture yesterday. There's nothing I look forward to more than seeing a bunch of queers kissing in public. It definitely made my day." Thank you for "publishing pictures and stories about real people."
The people who took part in Monday's Valentine's Day Kiss-Out are "good, honest people, striving every day to make a positive difference" especially when they are faced with hatred and discrimination every single day like the letter by Chris Kovalchick. Whether Mr. Kovalchick likes it or not, we are ALL Penn State. Calling the members of the LGBTA community "nothing short of disgusting and pathetic" only shows the reason why groups like Allies are still needed at this university and in this nation all together.
