Grammy Glamour
The best and worst dressed

Collegian Staff Writer

Fashion at the Grammys is usually pretty madcap and self-indulgent, as is the evening itself and its participants.

Things weren't too outrageous this year as musicians and other celebs stepped out on to the green carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Best

Black-Eyed Peas: The men, wearing I.AM. Clothing, and Fergie, the best-dressed woman, old-school glamour in a brown and yellow empire dress

Kanye West: Like an angel in a two-piece suit and silk tie, all white

Beyonce: Oh B, how predictably on point you always are.

Jay-Z: Oh Jigga, how fly you are in your pin-striped suit and purple polka-dot tie.

Christina Milian: In a gorgeous beaded silver Versace.

Maroon 5: Nice to see five men dressed nicely in wonderfully fitting multi-colored shirts, ties and suits.

Gwen Stefani: Great hair, great dress. A little weird but -- cool? -- Harajuku girl entourage.

Ashanti: This gold-coined Gucci is so ugly but for some reason, so totally hot.

Worst

Sheryl Crow: Apparently she thought it was: 1. A costume party, as she dressed as a Live Strong bracelet and 2. Time to show off her sick abs. Grrr.

Nelly: Blue suit, cream pants and vest, navy polka-dotted tie and brown shoes? Just ... no.

Eve: Great color, tacky as anything. Note to humble-chested women: showing them from the top and all down the side does not make them bigger or better.

Joss Stone: Flower power meets an ugly beach bag? And what's with the no shoes on stage?

John Mayer: Hmm, navy, velvet Sergeant Pepperish thing?
