[ Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005 ] Letter to the Editor
Levin should resign from USG position
Since his questionable election April 5 when Academic Assembly elections were repeated, Mark Levin has been a nuisance upon Undergraduate Student Government. To begin, Levin's letter to the editor ("Academic Assembly overlooked by board," Jan. 14) emphasizes the accomplishments of Academic Assembly. That's because he's personally slowed USG accomplishments. In this academic year, Levin and the Academic Assembly have taken steps toward grievances and then impeachment of USG President Galen Foulke. Surprisingly it was a joint session of Academic Assembly and Senate that voted down impeachment. Even Andrea Harding from Academic Assembly personally apologized because the assembly didn't first address its concerns with Foulke. Rather than simply resolving issues, Levin undoubtedly has wasted USG's time and the success of Foulke and Adams' platform goals. And now Levin is back to whine about "unprofessional behavior." Instead of sitting down and discussing Mr. Bagley's behavior like a gentleman, Levin has resorted to writing letters and becoming shocked over "aggressive tones." It is no surprise some students on campus have little interest and belief in the USG, mainly because of people like Levin. Please step down Mr. Levin. Benjamin Sipprell
