USG's critics should help make it better
I am writing this letter in response to Brian Morrison ("USG should disband because it's useless," Feb. 15). Undergraduate Student Government (USG) represents you and your fellow Penn State students that you or the Collegian may not know about. Granted, USG should quit its petty squabbles and be more productive, but disbanding it is not the solution. If USG were disbanded, the voice of the students would be taken off some important committees. Galen Foulke and Luke Adams are respected by their peers for their actions this year. USG could use some improvements, but it does more than most students realize. So Mr. Morrison, instead of trying to take away the student voice, how about you work on making it more powerful?
