Members of the State College Borough Council discussed the location of the new bus facility and the west commuter parking deck, which is part of the West Campus Development, last night during a work session.

Identifying intoxicated patrons trying to enter bars and checking for correct identification is a top priority for bar owners, causing many to send employees to special training sessions.

Penn State's Public Broadcasting station will air an episode of a children's cartoon show canceled by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and criticized by Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings for featuring same-sex parents.

"One, two, three, four ... we don't love no more!"

Pedestrians will have a longer period of time to cross the street at College and Beaver avenues due to a borough-wide initiative to re-time traffic signals to improve safety.

Ruth Westheimer, the world-renowned sex therapist known as Dr. Ruth, will speak at 8 tonight in Eisenhower Auditorium. Westheimer is known for her contributions to establishing media psychology with her radio program Sexually Speaking, which debuted in 1980. The Sunday night show developed into an hour-long popular call-in show discussing various sexual topics.

As part of Black History Month, Penn State is bringing the first annual NAACP Week to campus to help educate students on issues affecting black students.

Penn State's already got the name, along with a new baseball coach and, just recently, new plans for a new baseball stadium.

Before the season started, sophomore guard Marlon Smith said that in order to be a winner, you have to first be a loser.

To some observers of Penn State men's volleyball, it may seem like the No. 4 Nittany Lions don't run into trouble at home, like they are safe from upset -- or even a challenge -- in the friendly confines of Rec Hall. Head coach Mark Pavlik begs to differ, saying that although his team (9-2, 2-0 EIVA) is pretty good at this point, no team goes long without getting challenged.

Most of the athletes are a picture-perfect bunch. They compete hard, they say the right things and heated dissatisfaction is cooled down to a simmer after the meet is over, producing some smiles.

In order to keep themselves awake when studying late at night, some students have turned to Adderall, a prescription drug used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
