Personal vendettas within USG must end
Do my eyes deceive me? Are high-ranking members of USG involved in another petty third-grade squabble about personal attacks and hurt feelings? It's gotten to the point where I have to question The Daily Collegian's coverage ("Assembly president calls for apology," Feb. 14). I refuse to believe a group of intelligent college students could be so pointlessly catty and combative. Mark Bagley should apologize and grow up; insults and foul language don't help anything. Ashley Harris and Mark Levin should grow thicker skin or they won't make it very far in life. USG overall should just stop with all the personal vendettas and immaturity -- just stop. Try tackling some issues for once, like the astronomical cost of textbooks or the unnecessary ANGEL printing fees mentioned yesterday (IT fee should include ANGEL printing cost," Feb. 14). Once you have some major accomplishments to your credit, maybe I'll start sympathizing with your personal lives. Dustin Yenser
