Today's University Park forecast
A low pressure system moving over the Great Lakes region will bring a
mix of precipitation to State College today. Precipitation will begin as
freezing rain, but change to rain as warmer air aloft moves in by
mid-morning. The rain will subside by late tonight, setting the stage
for a pleasant day on Tuesday. Another frontal system will move through
the region on Tuesday night, bringing the chance of showers for the
Wednesday morning commute. As colder air filters down from the northwest
behind the front, temperatures will fall by afternoon, changing what is
left of the scattered rain showers to snow showers.
