Right to choose goes beyond abortion view

Reading the opinions the last few days regarding Social Security reform and the connection that was attempted to be made with abortion got me thinking about another indirect comparison.

Abortion is all about the right to choose to some, and if the right to choose is so important in this country, why can't I have mine?

If I so choose, I should be able to put my hard-earned money in a separate retirement account, especially if that account can yield a greater return than Social Security. If I so choose, I'd like to secure my own financial stability for retirement.

I would like that instead of leaving that burden to my kids and others in the next generation.

I want the world to be a better place for them.

My views, though conservative, are all about personal accountability and responsibility.

I want to be accountable and responsible for my own future, making me pro-choice on Social Security reform.
