Birth control may be taking away workers
Perhaps there is a significant difference in the population because legalized abortions ("Abortion root cause of funding shortfalls, Feb. 8"). However, it is important to remember that, though there was a time when abortions were not legal, it doesn't mean that women were not having abortions. More likely, it is the introduction of the birth control pill that has prevented unwanted pregnancies. While many more women are sexually active today, it doesn't mean all of us have gotten pregnant and had abortions. Clair Martin
