Little shop of horrors

Rachel Itle (junior-horticulture) and Guoyang Lin, senior research assistant in horticulture, pollinate tomato plants in the Horticulture Greenhouses. Through their research, they hope to increase the tomato plant's resistance to disease and make the plants more compatible with Pennsylvania's growing climate. Another goal of their research is to increase the plant's lycopene content, which is known to reduce cancer in humans.
