Every-one loves to hate, and this is the equal-opportunity haters' column.
This means, every week or two, there will be an issue on campus that people are passionate about. However, instead of a dialogue going on, there are two sides yelling at one another.
Media pundits amount to a shouting match. This is my response.
Over the next several months I plan to hate on issues and, instead of tiptoeing around them -- or being biased -- I will attack both sides. Just remember: If you get angry, read on and you will have your side represented.
This week's issue is the Super Bowl and its significance in State College.
First the Steelers, and then the Eagles are going to get hammered.
Here we go Steelers:
Wow. I am so impressed!
You had such a great season! Way to go. And that 27-3 drubbing of the Eagles, well, that speaks for itself. If you were in the NFC you would have easily shellacked the birds and advanced.
But, wait. That's right. You're not in the NFC. And guess what? You're not in the Super Bowl.
Would you have been? Here's the answer: Stop whining and get a coach who has guts. Fourth and the season and you kick a field goal?
