Christian faith not hate but love and salvation
Another person misusing scripture to try and prove a point ("Many Bible Chapters Show Scripture Dated," Jan. 28). However flawed his uses of scripture are though, you must give Mr. Kasper credit for picking up the Bible. Now, if he would have only looked deeper into it. For starters, his use of the 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 is pretty absurd in that it not only mentions homosexuals using the terms "boy prostitutes" and "sodomites," but in that very same passage mentions fornicators, idolaters, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, slanderers and robbers. Of course homosexuality is forbidden, as are the rest of these things. I really wish that instead of picking up the Holy Scripture in anger trying to prove Christianity is some hateful religion, that people would pick it up and get the message that it preaches. That message is one of love and salvation. Gilbert McNie
