This is in response to Matt Walker's comments ("Eagles' Fans Are Not Smarter, Accepting," Feb. 1).

I would first like to point out Matt's classiness; he completely calls out a female writer for trying to talk football and tossed in a comment about sorority girls as if the only thing they do is gossip.

Good way to start off an annoying complaint.

This paper then allowed him to tear right into Eagles fans? The only thing I read in this paper anymore are the police logs and the opinion section and the garbage you guys continue to let in here is ticking me off.

Last week it was Mike the Steelers fan that was warning us to fear the bowl; now it's Matt the Giants fan that for some reason is allowed to complain about an incident that happened 13 years ago at the now-demolished Veteran's Stadium.

There are obnoxious fans in every city.

Where there is football there is also a lot of beer, and just because 13 years ago Matt had such a traumatic experience at the Vet doesn't mean that's what Eagles fans are all about.
