The First Ammendment assures diverse views

Abortion is a sticky issue when discussing morals and religion. For instance, I am anti-abortion and yet remain a staunch supporter of pro-choice agendas. I am anti-abortion because my faith in Hinduism, like some Christian sects, teaches me that abortion is one of the gravest of unforgivable sins. I remain pro-choice because I don't believe that my decision based on my morals is universally applicable. The question remains simple: what value is paramount to you, the first amendment safeguarding the right to freedom of religion or your moral values? I say the former, because the latter is one reason why America exists- to prevent oppression of diverse religious views.
