A 22-year-old woman reported she was raped by someone known to her in a Waupelani Drive apartment late Sunday night.

Staff members at Mount Nittany Medical Center contacted police shortly after midnight Monday after the woman sought treatment.

Sgt. Dana Leonard of the State College Police Department said the woman is not a Penn State student.

Police would not release further details about the incident, and the investigation is continuing.
