After leading Penn State to two straight wins over top-25 opponents last week, the Big Ten Conference named Tanisha Wright its Big Ten co-Player of the Week for the second straight week. It is Wright's third overall honor from the Big Ten, and she shares the award with Minnesota's Janel McCarville.
Wright scored 24 points vs. Michigan State on Sunday, 16 in the second half, while also adding four assists, two steals and a block.
Earlier in the week vs. Purdue, Wright netted 22 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Wright also took over the second half in that contest, scoring 12 of her points in the period, which began with Penn State up by just a single point.
In all, the senior All-American candidate averaged 23 points per game on 54.3 percent shooting, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 4.0 rebounds.
