Today's University Park forecast
State College was spared by the Blizzard of 2005, only receiving a
portion of the forecasted snowfall. The storm did, however, dump 5.6
inches of snowfall in the area causing slushy roads and perfect sledding
conditions. Temperatures will gradually increase as high pressure from
the south temporarily settles into the region. A weak upper level
disturbance from the northwest will arrive tomorrow afternoon, bringing
a chance of flurries. On Wednesday, another system will pass through the
area, but not before temperatures warm to above freezing. This system
could produce a wintry mix of precipitation.
