Today's University Park forecast
Frigid temperatures will linger throughout the weekend. Friday night
will bring increasingly cloudy skies over the Commonwealth as low
pressure builds to the south. As the low pressure system moves along the
coast, there is a potential for significant snowfall on Saturday into
Sunday. The heaviest snow will fall on Saturday night, primarily over
the southern portion of the state. The snow is expected to taper off in
western Pennsylvania early Sunday afternoon and by early evening in the
east. As we get closer to the weekend, more details on the path the
storm will follow and accumulation amounts will be determined.
