Ongoing war debate does not help troops

I can't stand it any longer. What is this bickering and complaining about Operation Iraqi Freedom going to accomplish? Will being "right" about this protect our soldiers from harm, end the war and bring them home? If not, then why do people here continue to blather on about it?

The war has been running for nearly two years now and no one will change their stance on whether the war was correct or not. All this arguing results in is nothing more than a boost in ego for the "winner" of the argument and a whole load of anger from the "loser." The last thing this nation needs is to be more divided and arguments over this issue don't help bring the country together. Whether you are for or against the war, there is one thing that we all share in common: We all want our troops to come home from that battlefield alive and well.

So for at least one day, can we just put all arguments aside and do something to make the lives of our troops better? You can donate items that they need to charity organizations that appear in the HUB from time to time. If you cannot do that, just pray every night that this war ends as soon as possible and hope that the brave men and women in Iraq come home alive.
