Pell grants are a gift to students whom the government would like to reward for the drive and motivation to go to college. It is only that, a gift.

Beggars can't be choosers. We are given money and are not to bitch and moan when the government wants to give it to those who need it more. All this has led me to think how unthankful most of us are. When was the last time you sent a Christmas card to Ed Rendell or President Bush thanking them for the Pell grant?
