NEWS

The Penn State Sign Language Club let their hands do the talking on Saturday night.

Holding candles that glowed in the darkness, about 40 students marched silently through the snow last night in honor of Martin Luther King (MLK), Jr.

The minimum registration price for dancers in the Penn State Interfraternity/Panhellenic Dance Marathon has increased this year because of the large number of students who want to participate.

As the Zamboni glazed the surface of the ice, students and families waited anxiously in the cold Greenberg Ice Pavilion for the cosmic skating to begin.

Members of the four greek councils are working to build a more unified greek community at Penn State.

Tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes.

Yesterday at the Sports Café, Eagles fans decked out in Terrell Owens, Donovan McNabb, Troy Vincent, Brian Westbrook, and David Akers jerseys, packed the place and chanted "E-A-G-L-E-S... EAGLES!" as the clock ticked down.

Bruce Curtis was a dedicated member of the Marine ROTC program, an engineering student, and an "enthusiastic" and "easy going" guy, friends said.

CARLISLE -- After nearly a year and a half of discussions and failed proposals, the Dickinson School of Law's Board of Governors voted 17-14 Saturday to adopt a new dual-campus plan that would create a law school at University Park.

By using surveillance camera footage, State College police have obtained a description of the man who burglarized a Beaver Canyon business early Thursday morning.

Friday night on College Avenue, people poured out of the Take Six Bottle Shop, 100 W. College Ave., in pairs with matching brown bags, holding their 40s to their chests. Loud expletives could be heard from all around to describe the rapidly dropping temperature.

SPORTS

Before Saturday's Penn State Relays, Penn State women's track coach Beth Alford-Sullivan said the strength of her team was its balance, and the Nittany Lions did nothing to contradict that.

From the first time this year's edition of the Penn State Lady Lions stepped onto the floor of the Bryce Jordan Center this fall, there was no question as to who the leaders of the team would be.

This year was supposed to be different.

It was a weekend indicative of this year's ACHA because no team is guaranteed a win anymore.

Penn State sophomore guard Marlon Smith will miss the rest of the season due to a blood clot in his brain, Penn State Director of Athletic Medicine Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli said Saturday.

The Penn State women's gymnastics team saved the best for last -- again.

Two days before the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, cornerback Justin King wasted no time in declaring his lone goal for the game.

Sometimes, despite all odds, an underdog triumphs over adversity to provide its fans with a miracle.

If this weekend was a test for the No. 15 Penn State wrestling team, it would be hard to say the team passed.

ARTS

Most Penn State students and State College residents associate "singin' the blues" with Nittany Lion football fans after this year's disappointing season.
