Penn State student Eric Marquart, who allegedly struck Erica Vera-Cordella with his car while she was crossing Atherton Street July 15, waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday in Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.
The State College Police Department said Marquart was driving with a .11 blood-alcohol level when the accident happened.
According to court documents, Marquart is charged with aggravated assault DUI, driving under the influence and purchase, consumption and possession of brewed beverages.
