Penn State University Police said a Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) bus struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Bigler and Pollock roads at about 6:55 p.m. yesterday.
University Police officer Benjamin Hess said the female, whose name and age were unavailable, was injured, but he could not comment on the nature of her injuries. He also could not say whether the female was a Penn State student. The female was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Mount Nittany Medical Center could not release the patient's condition, and CATA refused to comment further on the nature of the incident.
