Along with thousands of other Penn State students, I thoroughly enjoy my Daily Collegian crossword. I may not be able to figure out half of the answers, and may occasionally cheat by searching for answers online, but I love racking my brain on each tantalizing puzzle. While studying for finals, I am constantly looking for ways to escape and take a study break. During finals week of the spring 2004 semester, the Collegian's Finals Magazine contained four crosswords for those people, like myself, that love to get their daily crossword fix. Granted, in my opinion, four puzzles weren't quite enough to satisfy my crossword craving, but they did occupy some of my procrastinating time. This past fall semester, the magazine didn't even contain one crossword! I was very upset when I opened the paper to find it crossword-less. Instead of keeping my mind going through my study breaks, I had to doodle on my notebooks and stare out the window looking at the snow. My disappointment continued through the semester break and I'm hoping to see a heavy dose of crosswords in the coming spring.
