Path of bus to Lot 83 excludes those in West

When I first read "University Testing Lot 83 Shuttle Bus" (Thurs., Dec. 9), I was thrilled because I have a car in Lot 83. After continuing to read and see that the shuttle is only going to stop at East, South and Pollock, I became angry. What about myself and everyone else in West who has a car in Lot 83? There are no stops even close to West Halls.

There should be no stop at East due to the fact that Lot 83 is right across the street and East is mainly composed of freshmen, and they can't have cars on campus. The shuttle is also going to spend most of its time on one road since the path has it go up and down Bigler Road.

A better path would have it go down to College Avenue, then proceed to Burrowes and have a stop at the Pattee/Paterno library stop. From there it could head up to Park Avenue and go to Lot 83. In order for students in West to take the shuttle bus on its current projected path would require taking a bus over to East and catch the shuttle there. There would then be no point to take the shuttle since East is only a minute or two walk from Lot 83.

In my mind, this is not a "victory" as proclaimed by the Undergraduate Student Government President Galen Foulke, but a continued disappointment.
