Bronson waives right to prelim. hearing

Johnathan Bronson, a fifth year senior on the Penn State football team, waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday. Bronson is charged with burglary, criminal trespass and simple assault in connection with an incident that occurred last Friday.

Bronson allegedly entered his former girlfriend's apartment and assaulted her friend, Dethrell Garcia, who was in the apartment at the time. Garcia played for the football team until leaving on Oct. 13, 2003, to focus on academics.



Student bound over on assault charges

Zhaohui Huang (graduate-physics), who allegedly assaulted his roommate, was bound over on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment yesterday during his preliminary hearing. Huang allegedly struck his roommate on the left side of the face and then chased him with a snow shovel with intent to strike.
