NEWS

Walking out of Zola New World Bistro, State College residents Gregg and Lucy Rogers passed a line of 13 people and a duck.

Johnathon Bronson, a fifth-year senior this season on the Penn State football team, was charged Friday morning with burglary, criminal trespass and simple assault after allegedly assaulting a male student at his ex-girlfriend's apartment.

A State College man pleaded guilty, but mentally ill, to two counts of third degree murder Friday for the 2002 deaths of his parents, Bill and Georgeann Opdenhoff, and could face up to 60 years in prison.

The magical story of The Polar Express came to life for children in the State College area this weekend.

Ever since George Missett can remember, he has been a fan of professional wrestling.

The nine chapters of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) met last night in HUB Heritage Hall to honor their most outstanding and graduating members, as well as induct the 2005 Executive Board.

Railroad club on the right track

African drum beats and smooth jazz filtered through HUB Heritage Hall, where about 300 people gathered Saturday night to welcome the holiday season a little early.

After more than 13 months of debate and speculation, a jury will decide this week whether the actions of two State College bouncers caused the death of a Penn State student last fall.

A 22-year-old Penn State student was stabbed early yesterday morning during a fight in a parking lot at 100 S. Garner St., the State College Police Department said yesterday.

News in brief

SPORTS

It would be hard to imagine the Penn State men's basketball team without its freshmen.

Forget that she is only a freshman. Discard the fact that she just made her first NCAA women's volleyball tournament appearance in this past weekend's games in front of a rowdy crowd at Rec Hall.

All of the Penn State ACHA Div. I Icers' problems came to a head Friday night.

With approximately 300 wrestlers traveling to Rec Hall for yesterday's Nittany Lion Open, it seems as if any finishers in a championship would have meant a solid day for the No. 17 Penn State wrestling team.

PSU pulls off upset, defeats No. 2 UNC

In the middle of an exciting Lady Lions basketball victory, something that has frequently happened for many other teams happened for the first time for the Penn State Lady Ruggers.

The final 2.2 seconds in which Penn State fell to Georgetown, 79-78, last year was a completely demoralizing loss for the Nittany Lions, one from which the team never appeared to fully recover in a 9-19 season.

There are many clichés attached to the position of point guard.

Terps swept at Rec Hall

With charges nullified, Foulke should change constitution for USG
