The State College Police Department said a pedestrian was struck by a car while crossing the street Thursday afternoon.
Claire Williams of Mill Hall was crossing University Drive to Curtin Road, when she was hit by a vehicle turning onto University Drive from Curtin Road.
She suffered lacerations on the lower lip and scraped knees, and two of her teeth were knocked out when she fell.
Police said she was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center and released.
Police added that the driver, Douglas Grider, will be sent a citation for a traffic control violation because the walk sign was lighted when Williams crossed the street.
