USG needs to focus for future of politics
Even from beyond the boundaries of the Centre County line, this alum can hear the pathetic drivel shooting out from the mouths of the Undergraduate Student Government (USG). For the first time since graduating I read the Collegian and what a suprise, USG -- "something something impeachment!" Nothing's different. I don't know if I'm responding because I once ran for USG on the basis that it was a near worthless institution or am killing time at my job, but one thing is for sure -- the USG people need a new hobby. I suggest photography or a nasty drug habit. The fact of the matter is, you guys will be the ones who run our country. You will be the politicians, the lobbyists and the lawyers. And right now, with the state our country is going in, we don't need anymore of you guys. As children we always envisioned being different than our parents, but here we are, years later, and acting like our forefathers. The beauty of it is, you're still in college, a time to break out of your comfort zone. Take it from a graduate, this is your chance to make change. The choice is yours. Steven Weiss
