I am writing about the forum for women's concerns that occurred from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the HUB-Robeson Center's Alumni Hall. Currently I am taking SOC 005 (Social Problems), a class that I indeed recommend to every Penn State student. This class by Professor Frank Clemente helped me understand many of the concerns that women have and should have here in the Penn State campus. The forum for women's concern was totally necessary for today, because women are facing many problems including the portrayal of women in the media, sexual assault, domestic violence and most importantly, their health. I think that most women in the Penn State community respect themselves, but some still do not. One thing I have to say to all the ladies in Penn State, especially every one of the 600 and more that were part of this forum, is to keep respecting themselves, and keep doing things like this in Penn State so we can stop sexual violence and domestic violence once and for all. From the words of Clemente, "Women, raise the bar and respect yourselves, and men will respect you as well"
