TV mechanics to attend BJC car show
Arts in brief

The West Coast Customs crew featured on MTV's Pimp My Ride, along with thousands of fixed up cars and custom car enthusiasts, will be heading east from California to State College May 21 and 22 for the Modified Madness car show.

The two-day event will be held in the Bryce Jordan Center and its adjacent parking lots, said Bernie Punt, BJC marketing and sales director.

The car show has usually been held at the Carlisle fairgrounds in Carlisle, but Carlisle officials decided to change their show location this year because of neighborhood complaints in the past.

Because thousands of people are expected, officials in State College are already starting to prepare for the big event.

"If it's as we've heard, about thousands of people and racing cars, we will have extra man power," State College Police Sgt. Mark Argiro, said.
