USG needs to focus on students' issues

As a freshman attending Penn State from Connecticut I have learned about almost everything here from either the Collegian or upperclassmen. I had never heard of THON or Canyon Pizza or many of the other symbols of Penn State that some Pennsylvania residents consistently associate with the university. Throughout my first semester here, I have learned one thing about the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) -- the people are more interested in bickering among themselves than representing college students. It seems that the senators would rather debate the complex rules to follow during an impeachment hearing, which stems from a president's desire to clarify and simplify those complex rules that are contained in the USG Constitution and generating this massive waste of time. Instead of holding a fifth grade student council style impeachment hearing, the USG should focus on representing the students rather than bicker over the Constitution that gives them the power to that representation. Because, if these college style bureaucrats can't see past their own assembly, they'll see their assembly dissolved.
