Eureka! I've finally figured out the answer to the enigma that plagues Penn State each and every year! Question: Why are Penn State students so apathetic concerning the Undergraduate Student Government (USG)? Answer: Because of people like Academic Assembly President Mark Levin. Levin, like President George W. Bush and Iraq, has proven he possesses the ability to turn a non-issue into a crisis of colossal proportions! I'm speaking with regards, of course, to the abominable and unjustified impeachment proceedings of USG President Galen Foulke. Moreover, I'm willing to go out on a limb and venture an assertion that the record number of students who supported Foulke last spring probably still do and could care less about how anybody interprets some kooky faux-Constitution! A reminder to all those USG egos that are getting a bit to big for their britches: USG isn't the U.S. Congress. You don't need to solve the inhumanities of the world, stop violence, end world hunger or cure the common cold. Students want a few more lights around campus and town, lobbying groups in Harrisburg for funding and a few small amenities on campus. We are becoming apathetic because the USG meets to bicker about a Constitution that doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Let's can the catty antics so reminiscent of middle school student council and let Foulke do his job.
