I am deeply offended by former Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Chief Justice Taylor Rhodes' letter ("Foulke impeachment will help Penn State" Fri., Nov. 19). He said that the only reason why Galen Foulke was elected as USG president was because freshmen students who weren't informed liked his campaign. As a freshman last year, I was informed about the election. I chose Foulke because I thought he was the best candidate. Rhodes is upset about the administration taking the power to approve clubs from the USG Supreme Court. Besides being the smart thing to do when it comes to legal issues, it also is best for students. It used to take months for student groups to go through the process and be approved for club status. Now, with the administration running things, it can take 48 hours. Foulke made the right decision for students in not fighting the administration. Foulke has represented the students on many issues. There is no basis for this impeachment, and while USG members continue to jockey for power, it is students that end up losing out.
