Police Log

Accidental Damage: A tour bus struck a water-filled security barricade near the intersection of Porter Road and East Park Avenue at 10:40 a.m. Saturday. No injuries occurred and the bus was not damaged. Damage to the barricade is estimated at $400.

Assault: Four individuals became involved in an argument over the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers at about 2 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of West Beaver Avenue. One individual was bitten during the altercation.

Criminal Mischief: Police said the front window of the Camera Shop, 311 W. Beaver Ave., was broken by an unknown actor shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. The store was secured and nothing was missing from the store, police said.

Criminal Mischief: A rock was thrown through the window at Beta Sigma Beta fraternity, 255 E. Fairmount Ave., shortly after midnight Friday. Damage is estimated at $500.

Criminal Mischief: Police said an unknown actor entered St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 109 McAllister St., and wrote 666 throughout the sanctuary with a black marker. The incident was reported at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Theft: Police said a laptop valued at $2,000 was stolen Friday night from an apartment at 245 E. Hamilton Ave.

Theft: Police said eight curling irons totaling $959 were stolen Friday afternoon from Trade Secrets, 2901 E. College Ave.

Theft: Police said two digital cameras, one iPod and $75 were stolen from the 200 block of South Burrowes Street. after a party was held there. The incident was reported at about 1 p.m. Saturday. According to police, the individual chose not to have an investigation because she said she believes the items may have been taken by out-of-town guests.

Theft: Police said an $800 kayak was reported stolen from the top of a vehicle parked on the 600 block of West Beaver Avenue at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
